Cashman Equipment Corp. specializes in marine and general (heavy civil) construction, marine equipment rental and sales to include ABS and inland barges. The Company has both the expertise and the equipment to provide the highest levels of services and products available in the marine industry.

The Cashman family has been in the construction business, both offshore and on, for over 100 years. James Cashman continues his family’s legacy today with the Marine & General Construction Division, working in areas such as: dredging, pile driving, concrete work, pier and dock construction, bridge construction, shore protection and other marine structures, demolition work, gas and oil field support services, marine salvage work, and other related work.

Jamie's extensive experience in the marine industry led to the formation of the barge rental division as well as its affiliate tug company SMS . Over the years as a marine contractor, having been a customer of the barge rental industry, Cashman Equipment Corp’s barge and tug divisions have a unique understanding of its customers’ needs, and prides itself on its flexibility in meeting the requirements for barges and other marine equipment.

James M. “Jamie” Cashman, who is the third generation of Cashman’s in the marine construction business, is founder and owns 100% of Cashman Equipment Corp. Jamie was also the founder and 50% owner of J.M. Cashman, Inc. Construction Company. J.M. Cashman, Inc. preceded Cashman Equipment Corp and is addressed herein. Cashman Equipment Corp’s Senior Vice-President, Dick Zellen, complements Jamie’s experience in the marine and heavy civil construction business, having served as the General Manager of J.M. Cashman, Inc., before helping grow Cashman Equipment Corp.

At J.M. Cashman Inc., in addition to many projects for various state, local, regional, U.S. Governmental agencies and large private companies, Jamie Cashman and Dick Zellen have managed many projects relating to the two multi-billion dollar super projects that occurred in the Boston area, namely the Boston Harbor Cleanup Program at Deer Island and the Central Artery/Tunnel Project (CA/T), the so called "Big Dig", in Boston.

In addition, Dick Zellen has been Principal-in-Charge of two large scale Joint Venture Projects with a combined worth of over two hundred and twenty five million dollars. Under their leadership at Cashman Equipment Corp., the Company continues steady upward growth. Cashman Equipment Corp. is up to any challenge and is committed to on time and quality work for each and every project.

Through the growth of his companies, Jamie has added key personnel to assist him, not only in marine and heavy civil construction, but also the many facets of the marine industry. This process allows Jamie to combine the talents of his personnel to service inland and offshore construction, barge and marine equipment rental, tug services as well as project cargo services.
